05 EGR Cooler Delete gone wrong

I had an oil cooler fail and in the process of replacing the oil cooler I thought it would be prudent to block off the egr cooler. I did this by blocking of both end of the cooler. Truck starts normally then after about 45seconds the turbo emits a whistle. I disconnected the VNT actuator and it stops as does boost whilst driving.

Help?

in 05 and newer truck have a scoop in the up pipe. this will make the truck badly. you can put on 03or04 right side up pipe or you can find up pipes from aftermarket places. but not sure on th 03 or 04 up pipe fitting right

oh ya and you will need a custom tuner like sct to take care of the ses light that will come on i thing on the 05 and newer they will come on

Thanks for advice. Found a thread from last year that stated that -
The flex pipe on the up pipe had cracked. The VGT is programmed to increase back pressure at idle and the pressure finds the crack. I will check it out in the morning and let you know. I have no CEL yet.
