Mine is doing the exact same thing blows out the defrost then switches to the dash a minute or so later. I have just been living with it. but there is a TSB that you should check the vacuum line behind the glove box.

my 06 started doing the same thing the other day. if i put it on max ac it blows out the defroster. i have to put it on ac then when it comes out the front move it back to max ac. but it doesnt blow as hard as it should on max ac need help to.

Thanks for this thread... found a disconnected vac line on my passenger side fender and after plugging it back on my ac comes out the correct vents again.

I too found a disconected vacuum line on the pass side. put back on and it works like new now! Thanks to everyone for the help!

Well does anyone know how much vaccuum the pump is suppose to run. I put a gauge on my vaccuum pump and it runs to -12 and turns off. After leaving it sitting for a little while and checking the gauge it doesn't seem to leak any and I can't find any leaks. The pump goes to -12 pretty quick and cuts off. Anyone know how much vaccuum it is suppose to have? Im wondering if it my pump now just not giving enough vaccuum.

my ac was acting up, but i couldnt a just the fan it was stuck on high and defrost. 4x4 still worked so i took it to the dealer they repalced a fan sensor and that fixed everything
