Question on Installing Leather Seats

Hello Everyone,

I am pretty new to this board, but I have a question about installing a set of factory leather seats into my 06 CC. I bought an XLT due to limited availability of 06s in the area and the fact that I wanted 0% interest. Since I was unable to find one that I liked with leather, I am looking to upgrade to leather now.

Does anyone know if the XLT trucks have the correct wiring in place if I were to purchase seats with electric controls. If it is not wired, does anyone know if they made leather that will bolt into my truck that was manual?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Kyle

I would think they might under the carpet..or at least a plug towards the dash to patch into....Most of those trucks are wired the same or identical...BUT don't quote me on this!

Some XLTs had leather options I believe, so I would start by looking under dash, seats, and wiring channels along door jam.

Dunno if I helped, but thats my

Thanks for the info. I wonder if those XLTs with leather were automatic or manual?

I will keep digging.

Seeing that right at 90% of all Super Dutys ordered are automatics, the type of transmission really shouldn't matter. Most all vehicles off the assembly line are assembled with the same harnesses, as it makes the production line more streamlined. Don't have to worry about build codes to know which harness to use. Causes alot less confusion. Wish you the best of luck. The best place to look for this harness is going to be under the carpet directly under the driver and passenger front seats. To get the carpet up, you will have to pull the seats out, and the door sill plates.

I should have been more specific, I meant manual or automatic seats. Guess I should have called them electric and not manual.

Thanks,
