Aux Wiring

I was just wondering if all the 05s have the aux wiring for the optional aux switches that ford offers? I need a power source for my cb. If not are there unused fuses in the fuse block?

All the trucks are wired for them. But if you dont have the switches on your truck you need to order the kit that comes with the switches, the wiring harness and the relays. Here is a link with the install info:

So if my truck doesn’t have the switches it doesn’t have the wires?
To be clear I don’t really need all them switches. I just want a hot wire for my cb.

yeah thats right. But thats a good price...$90 for the switches, harness, and all the relays. Then the wires you actually use to hook up accessories are located behind the fuse box. Here are a couple more links with good info:

if you need to hook your cb up go under the steering wheel remove the cover open the fuse block and theres hot spade ends in the fuse block you dont need upfitter switches to run your cb but in case you do want them they are easy to install and are very nice to have

Yeah it is a very nice design by Ford and at a very good price. If I can find four accessories to run I might have to look into it.
