EDGE Insight?

I'm about to put a SCT X3 on my 2005 F350 6.0. I'm really not wanting to put a whole pillar full of guages and was looking at the EDGE Insight monitor. How does this compare to guages as far as accuracy? I'm not building a race truck or anything but I do want to keep an eye on things.

I'll be installing a cold air intake, exhaust, and programmer. I want to be able to monitor everything for safety. I'm kinda new to all of this so any info you can give would be greatly appreciated.

I think the cheapest way to keep your eyes on everything is a
Recon monitor. I think we got them for $169.00 or something like that.

The boost can be off a bit but as for the other parameters I think it works great

I guess my thing is...I want to make sure everything that needs to be monitored is being monitored but dont want to fill the inside of my truck with guages. I like the EDGE Insight because I believe I can get a pillar mount for it.

If you're going to stick with just a tuner, exhaust, and CAI then I think the insight would be just fine for your goals.

It should come with a paintable pillar mount, I know mine did, if you have tan interior you don't even need to paint it

I can post pics of it tomorrow I dont have any right now. I got mine from a dealer not far from me but I'm in North Carolina. You can get a pillar mount for it, you have to take the OS handle loose and put the mount in then put the OS handle back on.
