Vinyl or HydroDipped Dash??

Hey guys, I'm not a huge fan of the wood grain in our trucks, I would like to go with a dark black wood, or black brushed aluminum; and was wondering if there is anybody who has gotten rid of the wood? How would be the best way? Just cover with vinyl or can the dash be hydrodipped? It would be simple if just the wood piece came off, but its the whole dash... Also, has anybody wrapped/dipped the wood door pieces and center console to match?

I tried Google searching but nobody really has any definite ideas, so let me know what you guys think!

To start off, I'm not sure if the wood inlays come out. Hydrodipping would be a longer lasting solution, but if you want the brushed look, you'll have to wrap it in vinyl.

I'm going to be wrapping my entire lower two tone exterior in a couple weeks (Quest to Color Match Arizona Beige Bumpers) and am planning on also wrapping the wood grain in the same color vinyl.

I'll let you know how it looks. It'll be a pretty simple task that basically anyone can do.

x96535: Thanks, I just ordered a Sample booklet from 3M and looking to get one from Avery and Oracle vinyl now. Let me know how yours comes out! When are you doing it?

I'll likely start on the exterior as soon as the vinyl gets here. Should be around Thursday. I've got friends in town for the weekend, so it'll have to be an after work weekday kind of thing. If I have any vinyl left over from the exterior, I'll do the interior, otherwise I'll have to wait to order more.
