08 Nav install problem

I just installed the 08 nav unit in my rig but I lost my steering wheel radio controls , anyone else have thins problem or know how to fix it?

It was too much trouble for me so I just ditched the Nav unit. There is an additional button on the '08s that's why it isn't going to work.

The steering wheel switches are in actuallity a resistor netwrok. you would have to find out what the 08 uses on it's resistor network and have the one in you vehicle changed to match. This is going to be a major problem since it is located in the wheel and only one wire goes to the radio.

The '08s use two buttons for channel selection an "up" and "down" button. The older trucks just go "up".

The smaller round buttons on the right of the wheel, in particular the button on the left half controls the selection of channel up and down.

I had an 08 nav radio and I tried to put it in an 06 F150 and the steering wheel controls wouldn't work either. On the other hand, I've been told that those radios work perfectly in a Ford Fusion

Those 08 nav units will work on all the ford vehicles , go to ebay and look for ford navigation programming ,, buy the progamming and send it the guy his name is Will ,, he will make it work in any vehicle.
