Stuck Compartment

I just got this truck and there is a compartment under the trailer brake control that i cannot get to open. I've also looked all over the internet for info and pictures to figure out what this compartment even is for... anyone?

here is link with the interior you can use as refference.. not my truck just one i found on google..

Its just a small drivers side glove box. It should open right up when you pull the handle. Might be jammed or the latch might be broke.

Thanks, ill have to mess with it some more, sounds handy. The latch handle is just free floating like something snapped inside

If you take the panel out under the steering wheel and reach under there you should be able to get to the back side of that compartment IIRC.

My '06 F250 had the same issue when I bought it 2nd hand. I used a screw driver to get it unlatched. You'll need to pick up a new one like I did or perhaps you can locate a used one at a salvage yard. The latch isn't really repairable. It is a pretty handy little drivers side glove box when it works. If I recall correctly it was around $65 for that little plastic door new.

Im going to get it open then and get it functioning right! Thanks guys.. maybe ill get lucky and the ranch owner that owned it two owners back used to keep his cash there

Now that's handy to know. I've owned my truck 2.5 years and I've never gotten in mine. I'll try that. Hopefully it's full of cash and not cocaine, lol!
