vent air flow problems

I have a problem with the air not flowing through my vents. when i hit hands/feet, feet, or hands the air goes straight to the dash. i think the directional flap might be broke but im not sure? if that is the problem is it easily assessable or does the whole dash have to come off? any and all comments appreciated. thanks

Yes, the system has a vacuum leak somewhere. It's easy to track on this trucks as the vucuum system only controls the front hubs and the vent system for the HVAC system. Check all the lines starting with the pump on the passenger side under the hood and just follow all the lines to make sure non have come undone or been damaged.

and the heater valve..top of engine on one of the coolant hoses. I found mine had slipped off, never noticed it, but it solved all my woes.

I recently got an 03 F350 6.0 with 30K mi. After a week or so it started doing this when I would start it up, however after a few minutes and some weired noises it would start to blow through the vents. So I looked around under the hood and noticed a vaccume line near the A/T dipstick was disconnected. I reconnceted the line and it started working normal. Maybe this is your problem
