2006 F350 Harley Davidson Crew Cab

Hi all, I'm new to the forum, and new to this truck.
I bought this bad boy used a few weeks ago, and have a dumb question.

The dome lights don't come on when you open any of the doors, and the dome lights only have a two position switch, on and off.

My question is, are the dome lights suppose to remain off when the doors open, or am I missing something?

A little about the truck, It's a 2006 F350 HD Edition, crew cab long bed. Has Banks intake, intercooler, exhaust and 6 Gun programmer deal.
It looks like there was an aftermarket alarm in there at one point, but it's not there anymore. (This might be my problem, but as I'm a noob, I need some reassurance)

thanks for your time,
Eric

check your dimmer switch, if it's ran all the way low, it'll click off and no interior lights. Same with running it all the way up, clicks and interior lights are on even with doors shut. Hopefully it's just one of those face palm moments.

Checked the switch, no difference. Even when I roll it all the way up past the click the lights don't come on. Only the bed light comes on

It's just weird, because the lights turn on when I reach up and toggle. I'll look at the fuses though
