Floor Mat Retainer Clip...

Removing the factory floor mats, putting in husky mats. How do I get that retainer out of the drivers side that holds the stock floor mat from sliding? Thanks! Chad

You have to push that pin from the bottom toward the front of the cab and it will unclip it. It was a pain but I got it out. I have found that with my aftermarket floormat in mine has slid up and when I mashed the pedal down my accelerator had stuck at WOT!! Caution with that.

Thanks for the info! I will give it a try as soon as it stops raining! The new mats have tons of grips on the bottom of them, so I think I should be ok. If it moves, I'll cut a hole and run the clip thru the new one to hold it. Thanks.

ha ha, same thing I thought with mine. I automatically put some carpet over the OE carpet to keep from trashing the OE carpet. That may have something to do with mine. Putting a hole in the floor mat kind of defeats the purpose with wet boots.

I know this is an older post, but this happened to me.. Floor mat slid forward and stuck the pedal wide open. With the SCT and exhaust, I am lucky to have survived..

You have to be quick to reach down and jerk that floor mat! I make sure when I get in now that the mat is in it's proper place, I got a pretty heavy foot and don't need to be scared like that again.
