Just did DynaMat Xtreme

Did all 4 doors while I was in there for Jimmi Jammers. That Dynamat is some good stuff. I did however go all out and all the extra large pieces got installed inside the door. That only worked on the rear doors, the front doors were to large so I didn't have any left overs to put inside. And the directions said to discard the factory plastic barrier.... I put it back on over the Dynamat. One more layer!! Turned out great... very very quiet doors. All I hear is the engine now. Front speakers sound much better!! I tried the stereo with only one door done... noticable difference in volume.

I'd like to Dynamat the roof, floor and rear of cab if I have the $$ and time to do it... maybe someday. But for now it's all

wasn't that bad being I paid well under List price for the stuff!! I lucked out there finding it online. BUT to do the whole truck... even at discount, yes expensive. I'm hoping it will pay off for those hwy trips. Seems like right now the noisiest part is the firewall/engine noise. But diesel engines sound good. Wind/road noise is annoying.

One thing I did notice is on dynamats website they show the dynamat going under the wires on the door, I laid mine over the wiring like the factory insulation and poked holes for the wire leads to come out of and molded it around everything the best possible using a roller wheel. hopefully this isn't a huge deal and I'm just looking to much into this. When I do the floor/roof I will install it under the wiring.

makes a huge difference in the sound. I didn't believe it until I did one door and tried it.

Just did a 150 mile hwy trip yesterday for the first time with the doors Dynamat'ed. WOW. the doors are silent!! All we hear is noise coming from the floor/engine now.... which sounds louder b/c everything else is quiet. Floor is next....

NO, not really... I like to get the job done as nice and fast as possible. Not really much to it. I put the factory plastic cover back on over the dynamat, I'd recomend it. Q for you.. how much difference did doing the floor make?

what i wanted to do was dB meter it to see what the difference would be but didnt get the chance to. honestly, to my naked ear, i can say that i noticed no difference. hate to say that because i payed money for it but i had the interior out anyway to install my audio and video equipment. so i figured what the hay.
i have a couple pics but they are on my home computer. ill post them later.
