wow, no difference? Maybe should of done Dynamat? I know for a fact the doors made a huge difference. I surely don't need a meter to know that. but the floor... Hhmm. well you already have factory carpet and all that other stuff ontop... probly not much more you can do.

There was a difference in what I did on mine, but since there is no way (that I know of...) to do the firewall and hood, its still pretty noisy. I did the doors floor and rear of cab. I would like to do the ceiling, but phew, what a pita that would be..

Sometimes my truck is as quiet as a mercedes benz....sometimes its like I did nothing at all. I have no idea why it is quiet sometimes and not quiet others.

here are some of the pics of my install. dont forget, there is already some deadening in the floor because of the carpet and such like was said but also they have laid down strips of deadening as well. that would all contribute to not really noticing. hawg, you said that you noticed a diff as well. but you also did the doors as baker did. once i do the doors i am sure i will notice as well. they are nothing more than a big resonator putting out major vibrations and such.

wow, that is a lot of work. I think the doors are the most noticable if you ask me. Good thing the boy is thinking safety first lol. I'm really debating doing the floor/cab or not... I'm leaning toward doing the roof first.

I put it back on over the Dynamat. One more layer!! Turned out great... very very quiet doors. All I hear is the engine now. Front speakers sound much better!! I tried the stereo with only one door done... noticable difference in volume.

I'd like to Dynamat the roof, floor and rear of cab if I have the $$ and time to do it... maybe someday. But for now it's all
I would never have thought that just the doors would make such a diference. Guess the time to do the fire wall is when u have studs installed and the cab is lifted?

do the roof first..I know it will make a difference, if nothing else in those huge rainstorms! The roof is nothing but a resonant panel.

you tore apart your brand new truck cab down to bare metal and imstalled two layers of sound proofing? Wow, u sure are ambitious. I would be afraid i could never get everything back properly. What trim level is your truck? An xl would be pretty easy to do.

FX4 optioned out except no sunroof I did it out of necessity the damn thing had some many squeaks and noises so I brought it to ford and they created more squeaks so I said F that I tore everything out expect the main part of the dash. I took both cab vent outs covered manual 4x4 level hole worked dynamat in between all the creases in the roof to the point that u can pound your fist on the roof and it doesn't move. the cab is so sealed now that if you turn the a/c on #3 and its drawn outside air it will make your ears pop pretty friken cool.

I wouldn't trade it for the world my interior is so quiet that my mom infiniti interior sounds like you have the windows down. Call it crazy but the truck drives way better it feels like it stiffened up more sporty feeling.

I take a video of me taping on the doors to see if yall can get a picture of what I'm talking about.
