Frankenstein seats

So here's the deal, when I picked up my '03 Excursion the other week, it didn't have a 3rd row seat or belts, which I needed. I found a Craigslist seller with the 2nd row 2/3rd's seat, 3rd row seat, belts and all rear plastics for $200. He had taken it all out of an '01 nearly 10 years ago to convert to a work truck. Sweet deal for a nearly unused seat.

So, now I have an extra 2nd row seat with nearly new foam. The driver's seat has the classic saggy side foam. The fabric is worn, but not yet torn. I'm thinking I could take foam edge out of the 2nd row seat and built out a good, uniform, drivers seat with it. At some point there will be a seam between the right and left of driver's seat (old foam and new foam). What kind of adhesive will hold them together? I'm guessing a spray adhesive of some permanent sort. I also know that any electric carving knife will slice foam perfectly. Any other tips or tricks?

I might even try to take the edge fabric from the 2nd row and completely repair the edge of the driver seat cover as well with a little sewing help from my wife.
