Navigation and Exhaust Installed

Just thought I would share some pictures. I must say, the B&B exhaust has very little additional sound from stock :^(

Anyhow, here you are :^)

I spoke to a Kenwood rep at the Swap Meet this weekend and he said there is a company (PAC - See link below) that makes an interface box that will allow the steering wheel controls to work with certain head units.

That is the Eclipse AVN 6600, my understanding is that in the '07 it will fit without any trimming, however, I was not there and cannot verify that. The installer, who did the work does some incredible stuff so I have to trust if he says no cutting there was no cutting. I do know the entire dash needed to be removed, but I assume you already know that.

As far as the steering wheel controls at this time they do not, however, there is supposed to be a module for it...really all it does is turn the controls on the steering wheel into a remote. I am looking for alternatives, but right now they do not work. Someone on another forum told me I need a SWI-X.

Thanks for looking, appreciate the comments :^)

Hey nuts,

It looks like I was posting while you were typing so check out the link in my earlier post and scroll to the bottom of the page to see the SWI-X.

Good luck and nice truck.

I`ve got the Eclipse GPS,DVD,am/fm/cd,mp3 in my 06. Its an awesome unit, the controls work in the steering wheel. They had to put little type transistors in it to get the controls to work. I had a ADVIC pioneer double din in the begining, but it would`nt allow viewing of the DVD`s while moving in the front seat, something to do with a gyro for the GPS navigational sytem.

Ya I was going to go with the AVIC-Z1 as well, but when I heard that you could not edit way points or destinations on the GPS while driving I shot that down. I really like the AVN, it is doing a nice job
