what r these wires 4?

To the left of the steering column there is a plug on the dash. Kinda oblong I guess you would call it. I thought that this is just a blank plug that FORD put there for after market switchs. I was seconds away from drilling a hole into it but figured Id pull the plug and look behind it and suprise suprise theres a male wire harness there. Whats this for?

Is it a small oval cover? Shaped similar to a single window switch? If it is, that is where the adjustable pedal switch goes in the 05-07 trucks.
