Anybody want to put an 09 and newer radio in an older truck?

As a good rule of thumb any 09 and newer and some older model radios are turned on by MS-CAN nework and not by a 12v source. I have found a guy who can make a module that can do this as well as including VSS and illumination in a module that simulates this network. If I find at least 5 people he will build it for all of us for aound $300 but the more people who want this the cheaper they will be! Please contact me if you want one. If I get enough people Ill let you know what the cheaper price is. I myself am putting a nav unit out of an 09 escape with back up camera, sync, and sat in my Outlaw.

are you talking about the CAN bus like the 2005+ radios in all Fords?

Is that $300 for 5 or $300 for each unit? What is the turn around time?

Any idea of what functions would be unavailable due to the lack of a can-bus interface?

Does this mean we can use the Sync system in an '05 Ex?

Sorry for the late reply. If I get at least 5 people wanting them, then it would be $300 for 1. He can do most if not all features from the MS-CAN network. With that module you can use the navi unit and sync will work with it. Might have to do some programing to the sync module which I can do.
