I wish I could help...I have the same problem with my passenger heated seat. Worked fine this morning, then the wife said it wasn't working this afternoon. Last time I got it to work by unplugging and reconnecting a few harnesses under the passenger seat.

These seats have a cheap little temperature activated switch in them that shuts off the power to the warmer when it reaches temperature, also it helps to not chap your backside. These switches are not the most accurate things and if the truck is warm it may not even let the seat heat up.

I have messed with them in a few vehicals and you if you want them to allways come on you can bypass the thermo switch, just watch out they will get hot!!! The other alternative is to move the thermo switch further away from the heating element.

I have not messed with the thermo switch on my truck yet, but on most other vehicals the switch is in the back of the bottom part of the seat, usully in the crack. You can somtimes get to it by unhooking the material in the bottom back of the seat and flipping this up.

Mine must be set high. If I leave it on long enough, it will roast my butt, and my wife already has that department taken care of.

Sure is a nice option to have on chilly days. The seat heater takes care of me until the main heater starts putting out.

I know this post is way old, but I dug it up searching for answers. I am having basically the exact same symptom as the OP. I now wonder if the seat is working exactly how it's designed to work and I just need to get used to it.

additionally, I would like to note, I did a search on "heated seat" and came up with alot of posts complaining of the heated seat not working or working intermittantly. Now I find this post which gives indication what people are experiencing is a design flaw, if you want to call it that, not an actual problem, at least in my situation. The heated seat works at times and other times it doesn't. I can't figure out any pattern or reason for this. Sorry to ramble, but I guess I'll just give it more time. Hard to really tell. This is my first Ford heated seat and new to me truck.
