Door Rattle...
So I have had my truck for a little over a week now and i have notice that every time I hit a pot hole or decent bump at any speed my doors seem to rattle like there not shut all the way. The first time it did it i got out and made sure all the doors were shut and they were but the doors seem like there not latching all the way. If the window is down i can grab the B pillar of the door and move the door in and out about 1/8th to 3/8th of and inch.
Anyone else have this problem? how easy are the doors to adjust on the latch side? its and 03 Ex cab XL Thanks -Mike |

I have the same problem myself. There isn't enough adjustment in the latch to keep it from rattling. None of the other doors do it either except for the drivers door. Not sure if something in the latch itself is loose or broken or if there is supposed to be something between the door and frame to push against the door to firm it up.

Surgical tubing run through your door gaskets. I did this to my '02, worked like a champs. Do a search.

I'll try this plastic tubing this weekend and see how much it helps. Hoping it fixes it cause I have an 8 hour trip in August and the door rattle will deff get old

It's not the doors, I found out. Its the panels on the doors that make the noise. Take them off and file about a milimeter off of them so they dont rub the metal door.
