08-12 power extend switch

Hi all, has anyone installed the oem power extend switch for the 08-12 mirrors. (I know most have used an aftermarket switch). I have a 06 supercab, so i have the room to install the switch below the powerfold switch. I looked on the wiring diagram that Dante04srt posted, however the wiring on the pin location is different on my switch. The wiring colors are the same with exception of the red. I believe mine is green with purple tracer. I need help with, what wires hook to what wires on the mirror, ground, hot, etc. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the response. I have read the quest about 20 times now, i almost got it memorized.lol. I just need to know where the switch wires for the extend switch go. I can not figure it out. According to the diagrams posted for the extend switch there is a red wire on the switch, however mine does not have the red wire. I believe mine is green with orange tracer. Also the pin location does not match up with what is posted. I need to know which is the hot wire and the ground. Again thanks for the response. Your write up, gave me the inspiration to do this mod.

It may be just a matter of trial and error; or at least noting the positions of the wires on the harness.

Can you take a pic of your switch harness / connector? Maybe I can help identify some of them.
