Steering wheel upgrade

Has anyone done a 2008+ steering wheel upgrade or use one from a F150? Our steering wheels are butt ugly straight out of a van. I heard the splines are different on the 2008 steering wheel..god knows why'd they change all that and spend money retooling. I was also thinking of the steering wheel from an expedition. Hope to hear from someone that has done any of the above. Thanks!

Yeah I read somewhere that the splines were different too. Was wondering if changing the whole steering column to an '08 - '10 could be an option? Just throwing it out there, I don't know if it's possible but if it was than we could change out our outdated steering wheel.

I would love to update my 03 wheel to one that has radio controls on it.

well i would think the 05+ wheel splines should be the same as an 03? but, you wouldnt have the wiring there for the controls would you?

i assume not. Did 03 have any radio control as a option? but im sure rewiring could be figured out, with some diagrams/schematics.

So who is gonna be the first to try it first? Maybe I should have kept the steering wheel off my F-150 when I got my F-250....
