overhead information console too dim.

Is there any way that I am not seeing to brighten the overhead console information display? The thing is so dim I have a hard time seeing it during the day. I am talking about the mpg computer display on a 2004 f350.

Bunch of threads on this, try a search. Basically, some of the components on the PCB in that thing are coming loose. You'll want to pull it out, then send it to one of the many guys/companies that reflow the solder. Buying a new one from Ford is $200+.

There are two resistors on the older ones that have weak solders.

That's the only one I found. There was another with pics, that may be it.
