Help interior code

O.K., I have searched everywhere for this info with no luck.

2005 KR interior code SH. IIUC, the first letter is the trim type and the second is the trim color. H is pebble or medium pebble. What the he!! is the S? That letter doesn't show up on any charts I have found. Is it just a designation for the KR interior type that isn't listed?

Reason is:
I would like to put '08 style door panels on it and really don't want to have to paint the plastic to match. Figure this is the easiest way to install my '10 full power mirror without having a add on switch for the telescope and fold functions. I can get the saddle leather portion on the door panel changed out to match my seats -or- if I could find some affordable newer KR seats (ha!) with the cooling - that would be even better.

Anyone correct me if I am wrong.

Are you sure the letter "S" isn't the number "5"? My '06 has 8E under the "int tr" heading on the door sticker. The "8" indicates a Leather 40/20/40 bench, and the "E" indicates a Medium Flint (grey) interior color.

Per the table below, your "5H" would indicate leather quad captain's chairs and Medium Parchment, which would seem to match a King Ranch package.

First Letter/Digit "X" (seating type)

3 - Cloth 40/20/40 seats
4 - Leather captains chairs
5 - Leather quad captains chairs
6 - Cloth captains chairs with integrated restraints

Second Letter/Digit "Y" (interior color)

Yep, I have seen that trim list in many different places and it never has an S designation for the trim type. Initially, I thought the S may be a 5, but now I am pretty darn sure it is not. The reason I am so sure is that my VIN has both S and 5 characters in it, so I can see the font Ford used very well and there is a 5 character right next to the S for the WB length too.

My KR has the bench seat with the center fold down console. No quad buckets.


FYI, everything else on the sticker decodes easily. Just not the SH interior code....

Someone on this forum has to know what the S stands for. Again, my guess is the King Ranch designation.
