Manual climate control fan speed, stuck on 1 & 4

I tried searching for this, but there are way too many topics that are poorly labeled.

Just recently I have no 2 or 3 on my climate control fan speed. Its either 1, or 4.

Anyone have this issue before? I assume its either the switch, or the some sort of relay.

same thing just happened to me in my '04. when I turn the radio off and put my hand over the defroster I can feel a SLIGHT difference but primarily only 1 and 4.
Anyone have info for a quick way to repair it? Is that resistor accessible by just removing the glovebox?

The resistor is under the hood right below the blower motor.
