Understanding color differences: '99-'07 Gray vs. '08+ Stone

I've been looking at swapping some interior parts on m '05 to 2008+. As far as I can tell, the 2008 "Stone" color is the '08+ color to my '05's gray. Has anyone got any pics showing the two colors side by side?

The 08+ stone color does not look gray, it looks like a light tan.
When I put a 2010 center console in my 06 450 I took it all a part and painted it to match 06 gray... sorry I didn't take any before pics.

Now I'm thinking about upgrading to the 08 door panels and not sure if I want to paint them.

That was my fear as well - I definitely don't want tan in my gray interior... and painting something like a door panel that gets touched everyday.... I dunno about that.

Painting door panels not a good idea I didn't notice when I bought my truck that they had been painted and since I've had it it's wearing away in certain spots and scratch really easily. IMO just get the new panel with whatever color you are wanting to switch to.
