Steering column differences

Are the steering columns different between 03-04 and 05 up superdutys?

The reason I ask is I would like to add a fuel pressure gauge without the paying the huge cost of adding it to a CTS. I have seen the single gauge on the column and it looks good and still gives good vis to the dash.

The problem is the column pod is only listed for 99-04 trucks. So will it fit or does someone have a part number for the 05 and up column?

I can't put it in the puka under the dash cause my airbag gauge is there. So the column was the next logical position for me.

Nobody have one of these on a 05+?

I was thinking of doing the same thing on my 06, but I think that would get the way of the looking at the other factory gauges.

I ended up purchasing this and it mounds around the grab handle for what I'm hoping a more factory look.




Another option is a dual overhead mount that's out of the way too.

I ordered the column pod mount and got it today and it fits the 07 fine. I don't know why they don't advertise for 99-07 but it works.

As for visibility it only blocks the first 5 MPH on the speedo and gears 2-1 on the trans indicator.

I have full view of the dash.

The mount is auto meter 15010 for 99-03 super duty.

I can't use this because my CTS will mount right in front of it and I won't be able to see the gauge.

Thanks for the responses Dik. Any way you could post up some pictures??

I finally got my pod and fuel gauge shipped to me but the color is a bit off, so I'm going to have to order some new paint for it. Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll get it installed, and finally get my old school Insight(original that is) hooked up with the pyro-probe and installed into the cubby where you have your airbag gauge.
