Red face Ignition Switch Lock

I have an 06 F350 Lariat 4X4 LB Crew. Whenever I park with the wheels at any angle, other than straight ahead, I have the darndest time getting the key to turn in the ignition.

I turn the wheel to the left before turning the key (nothing happens) and turn it to the right before turning the key (nothing happens). I adjust the tilt of the steering wheel and, so far, I have been able to get the ignition switch to turn.

To avoid the problem, I only park with the wheels straight ahead, but something needs to be fixed.

Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.

Are you sure you're turning the wheel hard enough?? Mine does the same thing from time to time and if I turn the wheel one way or another it will let the ignition turn.

If the steering wheel locks, say if you have the wheel turned, take the key out, and the wheel returns to center (even just a little turn)...It takes a pretty good tub on the Fords to release as you turn the key.
