05 dash into 04

alright I am trying to find a write up some one did on swapping an 05 dash into an 04 and made everything work. I am searching out parts for this swap and would really appreciate help finding that write up. I can't remember if it's on the nation or the org.

Let me give it a try...

For the most part if you find the steering wheel with the radio controls on them, you can easily mod the connector to feed into the radio. Just ohm out the buttons and you will find the wire. For the auto temp controls it's gonna be a little more involved, unless you have the complete dash with the feature already installed. If that's the case, I have an extra steering wheel with the controls on the wheel and it will just marry up...after you readjust the connetor to the 05 set up. (I installed it on my 2000 F350 and connected the PAC-SWI and Pioneer D3 head unit. Works like a champ with some wear showing on the king ranch leather...you know, from palming the steering wheel way too much. If it's all you need, then let me know and we can work something out if needed.

He has the entire dash, harness, framing, etc out of an 05 with the climate control but has the 04 wheel. Is there any way to seperate the climate control portion of the wiring to just add that to the factory 04 harness?

honestly it should just mount right up. I believe the connectors are the same...It's the grey connector mounted on the plastic shelf on the steering column mount. If you have a Haynes manual you can check the ohm values for each button and see if they are match. From what I understand they will. At this point plug and play and see what happens.

The only problems are the gauge cluster won't plug in and the connection under the hood is different that is why I need a diagram of an 06 and an 04 wiring diagram for the dash harness
