08 console install problem

So i just got my truck back and I started to install my new 08 console that i picked up. Well I got the brackets in place perfectly fine but when I went to bolt the console to the brackets I couldnt get the guide pins or holes to match up. I tried twisting and pulling around on the console with no luck. But anyway, has anyone else had this type of trouble?? Could my brackets just be twisted slightly? or is there something else i'm not doin right?

Put the brackets in, but don't tighten the bolts for the brackets/inside seat bolts until the console is bolted in. Shouldn't have any issues after that! (assuming you have the brackets installed correctly)

i believe that that the console fits fine without the brackets. its a tight fit and will not move around and can be removed easier when cleaning the interior.

Mine bolted right up.... No issue, so maybe your brackets are tweaked or backwards?
