Tow Haul Not working

Hey all....my 2005 King ranch 350 6.0 cc sb is having an issue with tow haul. I know its not the fuse.....when i hit the selector on the gear shifter nothing happens, no light, no rpm differences...nothing...where should i start looking?

I have the same issue in my 04. My mechanic says that the wires for that button get rubbed inside the steering column and eventually break. Mine worked intermittently for a few weeks, then it just stopped working so broken/worn wires makes sense.

It may be as easy as just repairing the break in the wire if you can get to it

Mine stopped working and I had to have the shifter replaced in my '08.
