horrible rattle sound from behind the dash

I have feltaround all over the dash for something lose but cant find anything that makes it stop. sometimes it rattles, sometimes it doesnt but it sounds like it close to the fire wall. has anyone dealt with anything like this?

i have a similar sound. its more along the lines of the typical diesel rattle sound its there just about all the time inless going down a hill and let go of the throttle then its silent like it was the day before...

Drop down
your glovebox and check behind there, thats where mine is,

i dug around a little today sounds like its either coming from the alternator or the passenger side head area.

no 4in with a muffler and no cat

i took out my pillar gauges and put in the edge cs insight and all then this annoying noise started .

I was going to say check and make sure your downpipe isn't rubbing, but I would have to say check out anything that you may have disturbed when you installed the edge insight.

it was my downpipe when I had that problem. get out the old rubber mallet
