Terribly annoying rattle

Coming from the passenger side rear door area. If sounds like a thin metal rod rubbing and tapping on sheet metal. My wife climbed in the back while I was driving and said it sounded like it was coming from inside the door panel. I have checked everything on the inside... rear bench seat mounts, emergency jack and tools... everything back there so I guess she may be right. Anyone ever had this and corrected the problem? Thought maybe I would ask before ripping the door panel off and digging around inside it.

I have the same thing.....

only it sounds like mine is in the drivers side door. Hopefully someone will post about a fix. I don't have a clue how to get the door panel off so for now I have to live with it.

could be the door handle rod tapping on the outside or inside sheet metal. its an easy fix with some cushion or the like taped to the rod or the sheetmetal. good luck and door panels are easy, just be careful and dont be afraid of them

Door panels are easy to take off... The black cover at the top behind the mirror pop off, the pad where the power windows are pops off and the light lense pops off and I think there's a few screws and then you lift up on the panel. Voila... IIRC... I've never taken mine off but I took a few off @ work 3-4 years ago.
