Coin Stuck in Console Clip

Okay, so the clip on the top of my console (clearly labeled "CLIP") somehow opened as a coin slid into it. Not sure how it happened, but it did. I tried everything to get it out, no luck. Now it rattles extremely loud, even with just my stock speaker's bass hitting. And with my new stereo system about to be installed, I can't have this thing rattling like crazy.

Anybody know how to take the clip off so I can remove the coin?

If everything still works as supposed to, You could fill the slot full of RTV and seal it up, that will stop the rattle.

Send a message via Yahoo to Dave
Or you could lift the cover up and unscrew the clip

On my old truck you could see them when you opened the center console.

Might be different on the 6.0s

Hmmm, I looked under there and saw some screws, but they looked to spread apart for the clip. They may be it though.

a paper clip fell in mine, rattled like crazy. I took the lid off, unscrewed the screws there which make the lid halves come apart, then there are a couple more screws for the clip.

Ok, from what I saw in mine, lift the lid and unscrew all of the screws on the underside of the lid. This should separate the top from the bottom and give you access to the screws for the clip and then the coin.

Thanks guys! There was like 9 screws to remove, and the penny just fell out! It was a piece of cake. Thanks again!
