Windows are bugging me

When i roll my front windows down from being all the way up the make a high pitch sqeek and its starting to get to me. Before it was just the passanger window and now its both front windows. If anyone has a fix or idea on what it could be tell me! I don't know how much longer I'll be able to take it.

I had that same problem on my 97 f150. I had to take the door panel apart because i had enough dust in the track that made it squeek. I blew it out good, then put just a little soap and water on the track, and that seemed to do the trick. I have heard of people using wd40, but that also attracts dust. Good Luck

I think there is a TSB out for the problem. The window is probably getting scratched too. You might want to take it in and see if they can fix it under warranty if you have any left.

Actually... this is pretty easy. Unless it's a lot different than on my 2002, there are two screws to remove, then the panel will simply lift off easily. The screws aren't easy to see though. One is located behind the courtesy light lens, and the other is under the pop in panel that houses you window switches.

Once you have removed these two, simply lift the entire panel upwards, about 1 to 1.5 inches and pull away fromt he door. You will have to reach behind the panel and disconnect the wire to the courtesy light, but other than that it's just lift and go.
