what is this compartment

I just got my truck this weekend, and it has some type of door underneith the brake controller. The handle on my compartment door is broken off. I cant open it without the handle, I was curious to know what it is. Im going to order another door through the dealership. Attached is a picture of an interior picture ( not my truck) with the same door under the brake controller.

The compartment under the brake controller is just a small "glove box" type compartment (i.e. no fuses or anything like that)... And yeah, the "hook" is just that, something to hang a small bag from....

Ken....

I hang a small trash bag that I got from Target on my hook. It works great for keepin the gum wrappers off the floor.
