Sunroof Problem

My sunroof stops short 3 inches from fully open when you press the auto button, press it again it stops 1" (or so) from fully open. Its never fully open. When I hit 40 mph the headliner shakes or flaps like a mother. The brochure shows a completly open roof. Called a dealer, he said all their sunroofs have 3" showing. What should I do, call a different dealer?

I'm on my second one. Both open the exact same way though, neither headliner "flaps like a mother" when fully opened, at any speed.

can't say much for the headliner, but the sunroof is opening like it's supposed to. The first press (auto open) opens it to the "comfort setting". Pressing it again, take it to "full open". Seems to me the only difference between the 2 is a couple of inches.

That sucks!!! The cabs long enough for it to open all the way. The wind only get inbetween the headliner when its at the fully open setting. When its at it "comfort setting", the vibrating goes away but there is quite a bit of wind noise. Way more than my Audi. For a $50K truck, I guess I was expecting a little more.

I have a sunroof as well... love it! As everyone has said, the roof opens 3" from the back at first and then "full open" on the second push. I found it out by accident haha No mistake, just how they made it.

Agree with Andrew that if you open the slider the wind noise and vibration goes away. You can also get a wind deflector. I have one on the Honday Oddysey which works great. Haven't put one on the truck yet.

S.O.B! I have a sunroof and I always use the auto open. Can't wait for the rain to stop so I see if it opens all the way!

Another option

You can buy the vent shield made by vent visor I think that goes infront of the sunroof like a bug shield on a hood. It helps alot.
