Gun rack under seat or behind seat....

I'm trying to find, or possibly build a gun rack to go under my back seat or behind my back seat (back passenger seat in 4-door).

I want it to be able to hold any of my guns, including one of my AR15s, a shotgun, .22 rifle, or my deer rifle. The AR15's are taller by nature and some are even taller with close quater optics or scopes.

Any help is appreciated!

There is a guy on here that builds some very nice fiberglass boxes that fit under the seat. I don't remember the name of the thread but I'm sure someone on here remembers

Truck Behind Rear Seat Storage - 00-07 - Ford - F-250 thru F-550 - Super Duty - Regular Cab - Trucks

any thoughts on these???

The behind the seat unit looks like it might be ok for the AR's if I can find some way to bungee it to hold still and cut the gun holder down a bit.

The only thing I would be worried about is you can't lock it. I think the ones that he sells on here are lockable. I know they are going to take it if they want it but the harder you make it the better.

a lock wouldnt be a bad idea....I'm not overly worried about my truck getting broken into, and if it does the truck altogether is likely going to get stolen since you cant see inside the windows without stepping on the runningboards and setting off the alarm.

The box made in the link is nice....but I think I would rather have something behind the back seat to hold the gun in position or some sort of setup to cradle a gun and bungee it in place.

90% of the time I'll have an AR15 back there, several mags below, and maybe a pistol or two...then of course a compartment or some way of hauling my silencers around that I can take them out at night (registered NFA items I WONT be leaving in the truck overnight, even out where I live!) and not have them where they can be damaged at all ($$$$$$$$).

Well my truck has been broken into and stolen so many times that I won't leave anything in it, even for a minute. I hope you have better luck than me

I had a motorcycle stolen in Kansas City a few years ago, so I know how you feel.

I graduate Dec. 11th and the most "urban" place I'll typically be in has under 11,000 people and we all know each other. I wouldnt leave it in my truck before then tho!
I also live on 100 acres and off of paved roads, so I'm usually pretty good.

I'm considering using some of the existing mounts behind that back seat and building a gun rack system out of steel, then covering in rubber and using shirt bungee straps to hold it in place..........thats if I cant find something I can add to my x-mas wish list before then.
