upgrade instrument cluster

I've been thinking of upgrading my instrument cluster to one with the info center in it. Currently my truck has the standard instruments with no info center. Has anyone tried this? i assume the wiring harness is the same i just wonder if the proper sensors are in place. I was also thinking of replacing my HVAC controls with the auto climate control ones. Anybody tried this too?

It requires a PCM reprogram as well

Which requires the reprogram, Cluster or HVAC or both? If it's the cluster, then does that mean that it'll work?

Cluster requires the update. Do you have the factory brake controller?

As far as the Auto climate control you need the temp sensor as well

I have the factory trailer brake controller. Does that change anything?
I've found the temp sensors online for about $12 which seems cheap to me.
I've been looking online for clusters and they seem to be about $200-250 which doesn't sound like a bad price. There are several different versions though. They all have the same number with different letters at the end.
For example:
ID 6C3T-10849-AM
ID 6C3T-10849-AC
ID 6C3T-10849-EM...
I have no idea which one has the info center out of a Lariat or a King Ranch.
Thanks!

Either way you still need the PCM program. I would call the dealer on the gauge packages to confirm the part numbers

I'll need to call the dealer anyways for a PCM reprogram.
Thanks for the advice.
