SCT egr disable question

just got a sct livewire and like it so far. everyone on here says to use a tuner to disable the egr valve so your cel wont turn on. so how do i do that? i dont see any option for that. i just have the wires unplugged for now. also if i want to eventually do an egr delete kit but if i have the egr disabled will i still need to do that?

unplugging the egr valve is a bad misconception, if the valve is bad , unplugging it does no good , boost pressures and exhaust pressures can still open the valve , only thing you have gained by unplugging it is a check engine light and more reason for it to clog and give problems, as far as the sct is concerned , and this im not 100 percent sure on is you have to have custom tunes to shut off egr with tuning , and even then it does no good , like i said before ifd the valve is bad its bad , if you are trying to disable it to try and keep from having problems , it doesnt work
