Banks stinger pack?

Not wanting to hijack the thread so I will piggy back on it. I have been looking at a tuner/intake/exhaust package to upgrade my stock 2004 F250 CC LB 4X4. I was looking at a Banks Stinger Pack (breather, exhaust and tuner). What I'm reading and being told by Banks is that the Tuners help lower EGT's and increase MPG and you have the push button HP when needed. What I'm seeing here is everyone is saying to watch the EGT's.

Do you guys recommend a tuner package? Does anybody have any experience with a Banks system? $2,400 is a lot to drop on something that I am not even sure will work. Can anybody give me any guidance?

Thanks

To the OP, I moved your post in to a new thread. Should get you some more exposure and get your questions answered.

Personally, I wouldn't mess with Banks. Their hard parts are great quality but very over priced. Their tuning IMO leaves a lot to be desired. If I were you I would look in to (in order):

4" turbo back exhaust from MBRP, Silverline, etc. (about $500 for stainless, less for aluminized)
Gauge set: Pyrometer, Boost, Tranny temp (approx. $300-350 with pillar pod)
SCT Xcal3 with custom tunes ($430 from Stealth automotive with innovative tuning)

Your stock intake is fine. Flows well and filters the best of anything available. If you really want an intake look in to S&B. (about $250-300)

Everything on the list I gave you will run you in the neighborhood of $1500. Might be had for considerably less if you shop around.

What Shu783 said is excellent advice. That 2400$ is insanely overpriced for the gains you would see compared to what he suggested.

2400$ is alot to spend on just those 3 things.

you should be able to get those 3 things plus head studs and a full egr delete kit for slightly more than that...if you stay away from banks stuff that is.

egr block on that truck would be a real good idea with mods. on the 04 you should be able to just block it. but the dyi kit that was sugested is you best bet.

Not only is that route cheaper but the innovative SCT tuning is WAY better than Banks. Not even comparable.
