confused 6.0

scenario: one of my old friends from high school's dad has an 05 excursion. my buddy calls me up to see whats goin on with his dads 6.0 excursion since he knows that i have a 6.0 and i might know whats goin on. so i get there and was telling him about SCT and all and that he needs to get it... and he tells me that his computer is messed up on his 6.0. somehow, and i am still confused on this, he got tunes from his diablo predator and bully dog (those are the two tuners that he owns) all switched and messed up and he cant remember which tune he last put on and on and on and it was hard to follow the details. the bottom line is that i couldnt find a stock tune for his 6.0, and i couldnt load a new tune. what can i do about this? i badly want to get his 6.0 back to stock and get him on SCT but i'm not sure what to do... tell him to take it back to a ford dealer and get his truck wiped back to stock... and then would he be fine to load SCT with custom tunes? any advice, thanks guys.

Well if its one of our tunes on the truck you plug it in and see if you can read the last tune written. If he continues to have problems and he knows its the diablo on there, tell em to call our tech support and they can force a stock file back onto it. But if all else fails...like 05 said, take it to ford and have them reflash it.

i would take it to ford and have them reflash it. its probably the easiest and fastest way to get it fix. jsut gonna have to pay the cost of reflashing.

Well he has a tune from one of those tuners on there I would think? Why not just plug each one in and try to "return to stock"?

i didnt know you could get stock tunes from eric. but yes i have tried plugging in all the tuners to find a stock file and i couldnt find one. and when you try to load a new one it reads error. a while back about his headstuds blew, and he had it into a ford dealer with a tune on, so i'm not sure if it got messed up at ford because ford didnt know it was tuned or not.
