Baselined stock performance with my gauges
I recently took my fiver out for a spin in the mountains of Arizona and thought I would pass along the information I collected with my gauges. The fiver is about 38 ft. and weighs about 13,000 pounds.
This is with the stock program and a MBRP 4" exhaust: Pyro: Maxed out at 1400 degrees up an 8% grade at 50mph. Backed off a little and ran 200 degrees cooler at 45mph. Flat interstate ran about 900 degrees at 70mph. Most of the trip stayed between 1000 and 1200 degrees. (sensor drilled and tapped into the manifold) Oil Temp: Maxed out at 242 degrees up the steep hills. Most of the time it stayed around 220 degrees. (sensor installed in the cap of the oil canister) Trans temp: Maxed out at 210 degrees. Most of the time stayed just under 200 degrees. (sensor installed in the tranny test port) I am planning another trip after the 4th of July weekend, but this time I'll use an innovative towing tune. I'll post the results if anyone is interested. |
