EGT with ARP
I know with factory headbolts you dont want your EGTs to get up to about 1300-1400 degrees...So if you got the ARP studs in what would you guys recommend..or with ARP studs it just makes it more safe to hit 1300-1400 degrees.
thank you |

The valves will warp and the valve contact points on the heads will slowly creat gaps. very small indentations.

With studs or not, you don't want to go past 1250 for a sustained amount of time

1250 ?? Really I run about 1000 or so on the hwy with my truck, with everything I got done I wouldnt worry about it till you hit 1400, I know guys that hit 1600 at times as well just not long periods of time.

That seems just a little high. But yes you can go much higher that 1250 but only for a shot amount of time. (drag strip, shot pull ect...)

yup you can hit well over 1250 for short burst. Most will hit that the hole way down the 1/4.

Ya that is fine, you'll hit high temps at full throttle.

its a 200* temp difference with the EGT probe right after the turbo.
