Smoke increase and Ultra Low Fuel....

I have had my SCT tunner on with Extream street on for a while. I noticed that several time I have filled up with the Ultra low sulfer fuel my smoke has increased. I never really had alot of smoke when i got on it, but now it seems to blow a little more. It doesnt bother me, just wondering if the fuel has something to do with it. The truck has had the egr cleaning and its not pulling any codes and runs fine. Just when i get on it doing about 55/60 it will blow a noticable amount. anything??? also, i try to just the Diesel clean and I have missed a few fill-up's...

I can only get ultra low here on base and when I punch it i get a thick cloud of black smoke too. I have only had my SCT for a few days so I haven't tried it with regular #2.

i noticed today that if i run it pretty hard its ok, it seems to bog down if im driving slow and then accelerate. it has never really done it before. im going to change my fuel filters and all tomorrow and see. could be the x-street tune. they always said to run it hard.

It may be the vanes on your turbo sticking or something else and not the fuel. Just a thought

yea i thought of that. im running a 03 turbo. there is no loss of power. when i bump throught the gears and stay about 55-60 and then start to ease on it seems to blow smoke and then launch. just never done it before untill i starting running ultra low. and this is the longest i have had my x-street on it. i admit i have been granny driving it for a while. maybe just getting use to the program.......I did change the oil and fuel filters yesterday and seems to be better... might be all in my head!!!!!!!

All fuel sold in Cali is now ultra low sulfur, unless it's the red dye stuff. Damn CARB, they think they know what they are doing...
