Question Question about SCT.

I have a superchip and I enjoy the freedom of getting in and plugging it in and taking it right out if I need to.

I hear people on here talking about reflashing their trucks and all kind of stuff when they get the SCT.

Why can't you just plug it in, download your file, and then set it right back to stock if you want?

Well what about custom tunes? And saving the stock file? Shouldn't it save the stock file itself? Why do I have to do it? And why does all this have to be done on the computer?

You have a handheld tuner. When you load the custom tune it automatically saves the stock tune, then when you return the truck to stock it puts it back on. No PC is required, just makes it possible to have a tuner email you the tune, load it on the SCT, and then load it onto your truck.

Also you have the ability to get a dump file to save your stock file if you choose on your computer in the off chance your tuner goes south. Also with the sct you can override a dealer flash with your previous flash. You by no means have to use a computer and it is not very complicated. What it does is open a lot of opertunity in you truck that the superchips isnt

It is pretty simple. You will be sent a blank tuner and send your strategy back through email and then the custon files are sent to you via email which you simply download onto the tuner through the a updater program. Then it works just like your Superchips, plug it in, download your tune and you are finished.
