Low end performance

What's the best mod to improve torque under 2000rpms? I have a 3.73 rear end with 34" tires. I turn about 1800rpms at 70mph and seem to downshift a lot more than expected when towing. It also has a 4" cat back that I think only hurt the power at low rpms.

According to my GPS and tachometer. Sure you have a 3.73?

The peak torque for these engines are right at 2K.

are you sure you have 3.73's? I run right at 2k at 70 MPH.
I have 325/60 R18's, which is right between a 33 and a 34.

I may be wrong, but didnt some of these truck come out with 3.55's
EDIT: looks like I was wrong

At 70 with those tires you should be turning 1900-2k rpms. Are you stock or tuned

I won't argue between 1800 or 1900. Call it 1900 if you want. It's definitely not 2000.

Bought the truck used from a dealer. I assume it's stock but don't really know for sure. What I do know is it runs different from stock but I attributed that to the tires and cat back. I do know there is no chip. I looked.
