I put in a Banks intercooler because I got it used of craigslist pretty cheap. I'd say unless you're running bigger injectors and a different turbo with more boost they aren't worth it. Wait until you pop the stock intercooler.

Nothing noticeable. I'm sure if I had an EGT gauge before I installed it I would have noticed a drop in EGTs, but the gauges went in after the intercooler.

i have the banks, didnt do much but like 150* drop in egt's cruising and i have bigger injectors and turbo. get the spearco or hypermax cooler. the banks CAC tubes dont fit very well and are a pain in the a$$ to put on. if you have stock stick and such and dont plan on upgrading, put water on it, that will do a lot better job than the I/C.

Wait until you have enough fuel for the EGTs to be a problem. your not going to notice anything, mabye a little bitmore turbo noise if anything. With a good custom tuner you shouldnt have an issue with EGTs. youll see about 100 degrees drop which really isnt that big. For your truck id say to take the 1000 bucks and save it for studs and an EGR delete so you can get some more substantial mods like injectors or nitrous. You might want to do the intercooler before you do the turbo to prevent possably blowing the plastic boot off the stock intercooler.
