Injector Failure

I have heard lots of 6.0 owners having problems with their injectors. I wanted to take an unofficial survey on two things:

1. How many injectors have you had replaced (please let me know, even if its zero) AND at what mileage.

2. Why do these injectors fail/not fail, as the case may be?

Thanks!

Gene

#5 and #8 @ 96K
They are particular. Clean oil/correct and clean coolant is important.

But I am sure you know this......

very true. I have had 7 replaced on my truck, but i was having different issues other then normal..the older style c94s found in the 03 trucks were the problem ones "they say"

i have had a few newer c95s go on my truck though

I've had 8 in my truck and two more as we speak are being replaced. First set went at roughly 4x,xxx miles and this time at 73,xxx.

I'm sure the bad oil and egr coolers had something to do with it lol.

How did you guys get them checked out, did you bring it to a dealership and have them scan it? How much does it cost to get your truck scanned? Im still under warranty so I'm guessing I'll have to pay the deductible and whatever the scan cost correct? Sorry for all the questions but I'm about to get mine checked out and I wanted to know what I'm getting myself into.

I just took mine in because it was so bad I couldn't drive it anymore. Deductible was all it took.

I had 3 replaced in mine at 50k but it was because of the EGR cooler and head gasket failure.
