What injectors

I am having some injector problems, I think. My truck is "stuttering" when I accelerate. So I am thinking about getting new injectors. How hard is it to change them out, and what are a good kind to get? Thanks.

I don't think they are all that hard. As to the second question, that depends on rather or not you want modified or stock injectors.

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? Make sure its not a fueling or other issue before you throw money at injectors. I would think you'd see more problem at idle than under acceleration if the injectors were bad.

If they were cracked or leaking you would see it in very slow responsiveness at higher acceleration.

just because you are having a stuttering problem doesnt mean you have an injector problem, proper diagnosis needs to be done before throwing parts at this truck

id bet on an egr valve being your problem , will cause intermittent smoke , the stutter you are referring to also , get codes pulled before going any farther

EGR usually has more serious stuttering or extreme power loss.

OP: Do you have an egt gauge on the truck and if you do do the readings get hotter then normal for where and when your driving?
