Stacking Programmers with Chips?

I have heard stories of stacking tuners with chips, does it actually work or even make a difference?

it isn't worth the money, going to edit this before everyone jumps on this.

the only thing i have that works is the Boost fooler (BD) (i know it is not a chip or programmer) and the a Hypertech, unfortunatly there is one issue with it. When in OD and i give it a little bit of pedal it will hesitate for a sec, talked with BD and they say it is the programming with the OD.

Pretty sure the stacking only works on the cummins' engines.

the powerstroke and the duramax have tuning software that allows them to be tuned and alot of power pulled out from one tuner. on the cummins they are still trying to play catchup on tuning even though they might make more power
